BASIC STAGE MAKEUP DEMO
March 18th and 25th , 10:00am-12:00pm
$50: Observe only
$75: Student Makeup kit included; participate and get hands-on coaching.
Our beginner workshop will offer knowledge on an introduction to stage makeup. Join us as we demonstrate facial contouring, color theory, stage lighting consideration, and achieving that “makeup” or “no-makeup” look.
FX STAGE MAKEUP TECHNIQUES
March 18th and 25th , 1:00pm – 4:00pm
$50: Observe only
$100: supplies provided. Participate and get hands-on coaching
In our FX makeup workshop, we will dive into the beginnings of prosthetics and wound realism. We will demonstrate how to apply a prosaid transfer, work with two-part silicone, bruising, and include tips and tricks from the trade. (Hands-on includes: 3rd-degree two-part silicone to take home).
Additional hands-on teachings will be offered to follow for the $75 fee.
About the Artists
Lia Malamo is a professional makeup and fx artist working in the film and television industry. Having started her makeup career at Pensacola Little Theatre, Lia then moved to Orlando to pursue an internship, leading to working at Universal Studios. After 10 years of hard work and refining her skills, she then moved to Atlanta to continue her career of makeup in film and television. Her work has been portrayed in films such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Holiday Special, Doom Patrol, Stranger Things, and more. She’s excited to be back to share her knowledge and experiences with the PLT family and local community.
798 Union makeup artist Dana Bracewell has more than 8 years of experience in professional makeup for set application as well as in-shop production. After working many years in Orlando at places like Universal Studios, Makeup & Creative Arts, and Europa Park in Rust Germany, Dana left to pursue film work in Atlanta. Her recent work has included: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians of The Galaxy 3; Holiday Special, Guardians of The Galaxy 3, Walking Dead: World Beyond and Fear The Walking Dead. She is excited to share her knowledge!
