Little Red Robin Hood

 

Riding Hood" and "Robin Hood"and intertwines them into a delightful and adventurous production told by a young girl to her siblings in desperate need of a bedtime story.

Written by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus, this imaginative play brings together beloved characters and familiar storylines in a whole new way, ensuring an unforgettable theatrical experience for all ages. With its engaging storytelling, energetic performances, and imaginative costumes, Little Red Robin Hood invites children to embark on a journey of courage, friendship, and the power of doing what's right.

Cast

Wyatt Snyder as Zach

Wyatt is a Pensacola Native who loves swimming, surfing, fishing, drawing, and singing. He is an upcoming 4th grader at Gulf Breeze Elementary School and a two-year Pensacola Children's Chorus member. When he grows up, he wants to be a singer or actor and is excited about his first acting role.

Mia Slocum as Carla

Mia attends Sacred Heart Cathedral School and is a Pensacola Children's Chorus member. She loves to perform onstage and is thrilled to bring the character of Carla to life!

Maddie Trenka as Chris

Maddie has seen several shows at PLT and is thrilled to be in her first production with the theatre. She is a homeschooled student who loves putting on plays at home with her sisters. She looks forward to learning more about acting and getting to be someone different.


Brendan Carmack as Humpty Dumpty

Brendan attends Blue Angel Elementary and is also a theatre student at PLT. He was last seen as Jay in PLT's Education Department's performance of Disney's Descendants

Tadhg Young as The Black Sheep

Tadhg is an 8th grader at Redeemer Lutheran School and was last seen in PLT's production of Aesop's Fables. His name is pronounced like "Tiger" without the "er." 

Marble O'Reilly as Rose Red

Marble has always found a stage, whether it was performing at home or in a play. She is a 7th Grader at Holly Navarre Middle School and loves the spotlight. Her favorite role was Fireball in PLT's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. production last Christmas. 

Cameron "Willa" Shearer as Simple Simon

As a four-year Pensacola Children's Chorus member and student at Pensacola Little Theatre, Willa is no stranger to performing. She was last seen in the Ocean Ensemble for Disney's Moana, Jr., and as Jane in Descendants. 

Ashirah Kilmer as Little Red

Ashira is an aspiring actor who has participated in several theatre summer camps. She is also a four-year member of Pensacola Children's Chorus.


McKinley Grant as Mother Goose

McKinley is a 4th grader at Pine Meadows Elementary who has always had a flair for drama. She made her stage debut earlier this year at Mermaid Merida in The Pint-Sized Pirates.  

Nora Meyers as Old Mother Hubbard

Nora is excited for her first role on stage as the infamous Dog Mom, Old Mother Hubbard. She is a "well-socialized" homeschooler, thanks to improv classes at PLT. When she grows up, she hopes to be the kind of Granny that doesn't give you cookies but gives you reality checks.

Maddie McGlothren as The Old Woman

Maddie is excited to return for her second Acorn production at PLT; her last appearance was in 2019's Once Upon a Shoe. Since that performance, she has participated in a number of theatre camps at PLT and with Neighborhood Children's Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Snow White (Disney's Descendants) and Young Anna (Disney's Frozen Kids). 

Layla French as Granny

Layla is excited about her part as Granny and her first performance at Pensacola Little Theatre. She is entering 5th grade at Hellen Caro Elementary in the fall.


Kenzi Armendariz as Bertha

Kensi is no stranger to the stage. Her favorite productions include  Willy Wonka, Jr.; Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr.; and Disney's Frozen Kids. She is an upcoming 8th grader at Redeemer Lutheran School and would love to be in more shows here at PLT.

Faith Moore as prunella

Faith is excited about her 4th performance at PLT and is so grateful for the friendships she has made here. She is a former Pensacola Children's Chorus member and was last seen on stage in PLT's Summer Stars production of Disney's Frozen Jr. as Elsa. 


Asher Nelson as The Emperor

Asher is a rising 8th grader at Gulf Breeze Middle School and has spent several summers performing with the Gulf Breeze High School Drama Camp. He also plays trumpet in the symphonic band. This is Asher's first performance at PLT, and he hopes for many more.

Abigail Grace Coleman as Four of Diamonds

Abigail is currently a Pensacola Children's Chorus member and recently completed the Broadway Theatre Intensive at Pensacola Little Theatre. She was last seen on the PLT stage as Queen Belle in the Education Departments' production of Descendants

Roey Foreman as Two of Spades (not pictured)

This is Roey's first PLT production, and she is so excited. Her previous experience on stage includes Peter Pan (Tootles), The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man), Puss in Boots (Chef), and Alice in Wonderland (Queen of Hearts), all under the direction of Jean Odom at N.B. Cool Elementary.


Leia Kemo as Big Bad WolF

Leah just completed 8th grade at Brown Barge Middle School and is looking forward to starting Booker T. Washington High School in August. Some of Leia’s favorite roles include Sharon (Miracle on 34th Street, PLT), Orange Fish (Scale and Tales, Neighborhood Theatre), and Mika (Survivors, PenArts).

Kiyaan Hisashi Nabors as Moe

Kiyaan is a homeschooled student who is very excited about his first performance at Pensacola Little Theatre.

Emmaleen Addams as Squealer

Emmaleen may be a Naughty Ham on stage, but off stage, she is a sweet and witty girl. In her free time, Emmie loves spending with her family, playing with friends at Episcopal Day School, and attending Christ Church. This is Emmaleen's fourth performance, and she is excited to be a part of her first Acorn Production at PLT.

Millie - Doris Futral as Curly

Millie is a lively 2nd Grader with a great sense of humor. She is very excited about her first performance.


Crystal Dunning as Leanne/Ensemble

Although Crystal is a "Snake," she is excited to show her inner “Puff" in her second show at Pensacola Little Theatre. She was last seen in The Addams Family as an Ancestor and is excited to continue her PLT journey with this magical show.

Kayla Phillips as Sally Perks/ Ensemble

Kayla is very excited to be back on stage with Pensacola Little Theatre. She recently served on the tech crew for The Addams Family and was Assistant Director of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr. She was last seen performing in Unrequited. Kayla is also an instructor at Pensacola Little Theatre. She hopes you will enjoy the show. Puff Hug!

Tilden whitfield as Cedric/Mr. Voldy

Tilden isn’t “puffing” around when he says he’s excited to be gracing the PLT stage once again! He was last seen in Miracle on 34th Street as J. Mara and rumor has it he’s here to play for a little while!


About THE DIRECTOR

Director, Jennifer Bunnell

Jennifer Bunnell is the theatre instructor at Milton High School by day and a theatre-related volunteer all over Pensacola by night. She lives in Pensacola with her husband Hank and daughter Beatrice. She serves on the state boards of both the Florida Association for Theatre Education and Florida State Thespians, as well as the Treehouse Board here at PLT. She is a strong advocate for theatre education.
