Each Pensacola Little Theatre performance is a labor of love, and volunteers keep the show going. Share in the excitement of the performing arts by becoming a volunteer and stirring up some drama. From students to business leaders to retirees, we encourage everyone who is interested in theatre to become involved, and in our house - everyone is welcome. PLT can use your help with a variety of projects on and off the stage, such as ushering, decorating for fundraising events, serving on committees, interning in the business or marketing offices, painting, and set construction.

VOLUNTEER AREAS

Poster Distribution
PLT relies on the power of volunteers to promote our shows to the community. Are you willing to hang a poster at your business? Would you be willing to drive a poster over to your local grocery store? Do you have a contact at your church? Every bit of advertising we can muster helps keep our patrons informed about all of the wonderful shows we produce throughout the year!

Ushers
Creating a welcoming experience for our patrons is one of our top priorities at the Pensacola Little Theatre! Our ushers are the backbone of that effort. From greeting our guests, to helping them find their seats, ushers play a vital role in making our patrons feel like guests.

Special Events
We require volunteers for many different jobs as we plan special fundraisers and events. They include our annual fundraiser gala Cabaret, subscriber renewal party, Kids Expo and other events. We need volunteers to help set-up rooms, decorate, take tickets, serve drinks and food, and clean up afterwards.

Carpenter/Electrician/Painter
If you have experience as a carpenter, woodworker, electrician or painter, or if you would like to learn more about the process of building a set, we have a place for you. We put up a new set about every three weeks. Our technical director works weekdays, and we have general work-calls on weekends.

Photographer
Experience in photography and your own camera is necessary for this position. We would require your skills in still photography for capturing magic moments occurring on stage during dress rehearsals or at special events. Your photos may be shown in our newsletter/online, distributed to media outlets, and kept in our archives as part of PLT history.
