AUDITIONS
Upcoming audition dates for the 2007-2008 season are listed below. All auditions take place at the Little Theatre unless otherwise posted.
The Pensacola Little Theatre is YOUR community theatre, and auditions are open to EVERYONE in the community and surrounding areas. Reading the play is not required before an audition, although you can come by the main office and read a perusal copy of the play you are auditioning for, however, the perusal copy may not leave the building. Even if you have never been in a play before, don’t be shy about auditioning.

The Cat in the Hat, Horton, and other beloved Dr. Seuss characters come to life on stage, in a colorful musical about believing in yourself. Rehearsals will be held Monday through Thursday, from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Not everyone will need to attend every rehearsal. Once the show is cast, you will receive a complete schedule from first rehearsal to final performance. |

Audition Tips:

Auditioning for a non-musical play? All auditions are "cold-reads", unless otherwise noted, so you do not need to prepare a monologue. Perusal copies of upcoming plays are available at the PLT Business Office. |

Auditioning for a musical play? Come prepared with a song. Bring sheet music or a tape and tape player for accompaniment. Choose a song that enhances and shows off your singing skills - usually not a song from the play for which you are auditioning. You may also be asked to take part in movement or dance auditions, where the choreographer will ask you to learn a few steps. |
