TREEHOUSE
THEATRE ACTING CLASSES
2008 SUMMER CAMPS IIn our 15th year of summer camps, Pensacola Little Theatre’s TREEHOUSE THEATRE is proud to offer you Creative Drama Camp, Break-a-Leg Camp, and Summer Stars Camp. Come join us as we learn to increase our ability to communicate verbally and physically, to use our imagination, to build creativity and to work as team players. And let’s not forget the most important thing, TO HAVE FUN! Creative Drama and Break-a-Leg Camps meet two weeks, for half-a-day each, and focus on the exciting and fun process of creating a theatrical event. Each camp covers the basics of theatre, such as character creation, projection, and blocking etiquette. Campers experience the entire production process, from the shaking knees of auditions to the applause of the final performance. Each camp ends with a 10-15 minute age-appropriate play, presented classroom style, on the final day of camp. Special attention is paid to arts and crafts as campers make masks, puppets, and their own costumes for their final performance. Summer Stars is a chance for the younger teens and preteens to experience the entire production process, from the shaking knees of auditions to the applause of the final performance. Camp begins with the basics of theatre, such as character creation, projection and blocking etiquette. Then things gear up a notch as campers work through deeper character exploration, movement, and directorial motivation. Summer Stars ends with two public performances of a full-on production. Tuition payment must be made at the time of registration and includes a non-refundable $10 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the first full day of camp. Each class must have a minimum of 8 students. If camp is not filled, student may be switched with permission to another camp or a full refund will be issued. Registration for Summer Camps begins March 24. Download Registration Form (pdf).
