in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Pensacola Little Theatre in April, 2010!

  • The contest is open to all students ages 13-19.
  • No previous acting experience is necessary.
  • Students may perform one monologue (20-25 lines minimum), one scene (no more than 5 minutes) or both from any Shakespeare play. Please specify your selection (Play, Act, Scene) on the entry form.
  • All scene performers must be active participants.
  • Monologues and scenes must be memorized - prompting of any kind will not be permitted.
  • Don't worry about costumes and props; think about actions and words.
  • A $5 entry fee per person should be included with the ENTRY FORM.

SCHEDULE
January 29 - Deadline for entries
February 3 - Round 1 at Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 S. Jefferson St., 7pm
February 10 - Final Round at End of the Line Café, 610 E. Wright St., 7pm
February 15-April 8 - Rehearsal period for A Midsummer Night’s Dream
April 9-11 and 16-18 - Performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream

PRIZES
First prize – A Supporting Role in A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Second prize – A Pensacola Little Theatre FlexPass ($100 value)
Third prize – 4 Tickets to see A Midsummer Night’s Dream on opening weekend

Everyone is invited to the final round next Wednesday at the End of the Line. The finals are open to the public.
